Audio Alchemy DTIv2.0
« on: 27 Sep 2003, 07:02 am »
I'm not sure what year model this AA DTI is.I got it off Ebay.So I found out it has no RCA connections. So I'm planing on using BNC/RCA adaptors.
I'm guessing the BNC connection is 75 OHM.I've already ordered the spdif digital coax from Signalcable and the (haha) 79 cent adaptors from somewhere. So does anyone know if this will work ok?Thanx for any input!

What are you using as a DAC?  Here's my 2 pennies on the issue:

You are right on to hook using the direct BNC connect even though it means getting a cable made for you.  I ran my DTI 2.0 through an Audio Alchemy DDE 3.0 for years using their I2S cable.  From the transport to the DTI it was RCA to Monster Cable gold colored adapter to DTI.  Worked OK too.  These little black boxes are really very interesting and solid performers IMHO  :?  .  Today:  Player through cable with correct terminations (RCA out BNC in) to a DTI Pro32B through cable with BNC out RCA into a modded Channel Islands DAC (can't get away from Dusty's stuff .  Works like a charm in my humble system YMMV. :D
