Well, here is my outlet story. I went from the house stocker to a cryo'ed Hubbell. Nice~! Things got better esp. bass. I then waited a while and did an Oyaide combo of the SWO-XXX and the WPC-Z cover. The cover costs more than the outlet! Stunning difference. Smoother HF, better image and better bass extension to the lowest octave. I think the total amount of bass decreased by 3db but I still enjoyed it more. More definition to it. Even my wife heard these benefits way off axis. I never tell her what I hear as I tweak further. I ask her what she hears and its often identical to what I hear. She has a good ear. My system is plugged into the outlet closest to my fuse box (6 feet away) but my rack is 8 feet from the closest outlet. I use an 8 gauge Richard Gray AC cable (the high dollar one) plugged into a Gray 600. This gives me 6 outlets next to the rack for my gear. So then I decided to put an R-1 in the Gray. Dismantling the Gray was easy and as I put in the outlet which did help the sound I noticed the Gray internal wiring is very plain 16 gauge. I felt like it was limiting things. So I decided to by Oyaide empty outlet strip and put 2 R-1's in it. I returned the original outlet back to the Gray and used that R-1 and bought one more and the Oyaide MT-UB from vhaudio. As usual great service from Chris. Now I removed the 20 amp IEC female from the end of my long cable that fed the Gray and hard wired it the R-1's to it inside the MT-UB. Now the Gray, my two amps and my P-300 plug into those four outlets. So the sound? Better, more dynamic, improved bass quality (not more) and a wider image. The wider image was most the notable improvement. More details are easier to hear on recordings. You know the usual I heard things for the first time in a recording I have listened to 100's of times. Finally I will say while it made a nice improvement I was expecting a  bit more. Maybe in time, break in etc. Also nothing in this journey made as a big a difference as the wall outlet change to a SWO-XXX and the WPC-Z "really expensive" outlet cover. I'm beginning to believe the outlet cover played as big or a bigger part as the outlet itself. I'm much to lazy to remove the cover and return it to a stock plastic to find out for sure.
