I had to laugh to myself and contain the loudness of my belly ache as I saw an ad in Audiogon for these Brilliant Pebbles in two tiny plastic bags taped to the interconnects with 3M clear tape...what a farse!!!!

Really, has anyone tried any of these?  I've heard of the "clever little clock" but come on???

Try this. It REALLY works!!  :thumb:

 Looks about as effective as 6 minute abs to me.

THE BEST  is the little disclaimer in the corner that every rock may not look like the one shown  :duh:

...wait for it....

.......IT'S A ROCK

.......IT'S A ROCK

It's also a joke, cleverly produced by AC''s resident dry humor master, nathanm.

I suggest you not get too worked-up over it.

" It works because it does work! "
" Improves music using the force of sheer will"

What was he smoking.

rabpaul

so, this really does work Rabpaul???
how much are those brilliant pebbles and how does the image change???
would love to hear a more specific analysis....thanks!
I have a small room with speakers close to the side walls, I use the large BPs to absorb side wall reflections. Changing their location e.g in the corners as opposed to where they are now, just behind each speaker close to the wall, changes how bass/mid-bass sounds as well as the depth of the images.
I have a glass bookshelf, which I can't remove, behind me and placing the mini BPs on one of the shelves removes rear reflections and places with some music, the images a few feet forward to the right and left.
I spent a couple of weeks with each type of BP, trying various positions until I was finally happy with the results.
Now the proper way to solve my problems would be to get rid of the furniture behind me and invest in treatment i.e for corner, side, rear walls. If I did the math proper room treatment would cost a lot more with no guarantee it would improve on what I currently have. At some point in time I will take that risk with proper room treatment but for now BPs work and work well for me.
You can check the site for prices. I bid on Agon for all of them so I paid much less but to me they are worth a lot more than their retail price and in hindsight would have paid even more.

Hey can't a guy be all for the free market system AND be at war with mystIcs too?  (no, not the ones from Dark Crystal) Personally I think a good belly laugh defeats these things better than any law.  So why not foster some innovation and order a SonicRock today?  Do you believe in Hi-Fi\The SonicRock can smooth the highs\Force of sheer will every night and day\Place the rock and rock away!

When I was laying sod down in my front yard, I found a few rocks.  I tied those to all my cables and the difference was amazing.  aa

I hadn't seen the SONICROCK poster in quite a while.  Freakin' priceless.

NO CONTEST! The Sonicrock has cutting edge, patented Sinapse-Discharge Technology. It's a no-brainer.

The Sonicrock mousepad can work wonders as well....

Philistine

You guys are so cynical, don't you know that Mr Kait is a pioneer in the field of time travel?  Over at Audiogon  :jester: he's chastising one of his customers for revealing, after a private phone call, that one of his famous devices (can't care to remember which of the many) works on principles related to manipulating the 4th dimension  :shh:

Not only is he being attacked by AC, he was also pilloried by the cable guy at the end of last year:

Think I'll put my order in for the fool proof tomorrows lottery number generator  :icon_lol:  Then I can buy a truck load of SonicRocks.

Or buy the land and whole darn quarry and live with your own rocks!  I bet it would sound great in there.  Tom

Other militant gearheads on the march

Allistair Crowley sold feces to be injested as a part of his metaphysical treatment for students of the art.  They had to have been pretty eager, huh?  I think I read the reason he did that was to prove that he could.  The prudent thing would be to stick to things that have some physical science about them, IMO.  :o
