I had to laugh to myself and contain the loudness of my belly ache as I saw an ad in Audiogon for these Brilliant Pebbles in two tiny plastic bags taped to the interconnects with 3M clear tape...what a farse!!!!

Really, has anyone tried any of these?  I've heard of the "clever little clock" but come on???

Have not tried that particular size but do use a pair of large and mini brilliant pebbles.
If you must know I can change how my system sounds and images by just moving those bottles.

The "brilliant pebbles" pre-date the "clever little clock", "intelligent chip", "turquoise whatever" and their other products.  It might have been MD's first product, I don't remember.

I think gullability has to do with education and experience levels.  For instance, there are plenty of folks who are not sure power conditioning will work for them and make an audible difference.  Until they try it, that aspect of hifi-dom could be snake oil in their eyes.  ANd even then, their personal experimentation may convince them it is, or it isn't!

Sure, fruity pebbles may be an obvious one, but for some folks many of the cable discussions and component and widget options available to us can be downright confusing.

I think my comment was more towards people suspending reality for voo-doo or mysticism. The fruity pebbles in the bag could just as well have been plain M&M's green, and someone would say it makes a difference if you put at least 2 red ones in there. My comment regarding at War with the Mystics takes me to economics. When people in our audio fold buy into this crap, it causes an inflationary price increase in all audio products......it raises the bar for good products. Why not. If they'll spend money on shit, what will they spend when something really good comes along?

Wellfed, you're wasting your time even posting in a thread like this. For those who rant about a product they've never even tried, you can't try and tell them about your experiences cuz they already know it all.  You're just fueling their superior knowledge rants and setting yourself upto ridicule. You're better off avoiding these little campfire threads as all you'll gain is a forset fire.

i honestly swear to god thought this was a joke site. audiophile wall outlet covers. of course when i read favorable reviews of this crap in 6moons... don't know who to believe anymore. doesn't it piss anyone else off when you read a review that states an amp sounds better after 'burn in' and changing the power cord?
