hi,

first post here, so go easy on me!

i live in a college town in a small apartment.  my pc and my home stereo are as a result very close to one another--i'd say 15 feet separate them across my living room. 

i've been debating whether to upgrade my pc with a usb dac and some powered monitors or to just go the squeezebox route instead.  has anyone had the same experience?  i'm a fan of cheap, but understand quality hi-fi as anything but! 

open to opinions...

I've been using a Squeezebox for a few years and have nothing but good things to say about it. The wireless option and the ability to stream internet stations as well as sending music files from your pc to play on your stereo is hard to beat.
