Panasonic XR55: Dual-amp or Bi-Wire? Which is better?

cliffy

I have a Panasonic SA-XR55 receiver.  For 2-channel stereo, it can use 2 unused surround channels to 'dual-amp' the main L/R speakers through one set of speaker wires/speaker.  It also can use 2 channels per speaker to "Bi-wire" the main speakers thru 2 sets of wires/speaker.

My speakers are TDL Studio 0.5's which are bi-wire capable.  I just bought them off Epay and am waiting their arrival.

Any opinions on what the differences will be or what will be better?  Has anyone experiemented with the various methods of dual or bi-wiring with digital Panasonic receivers?

Thanks!

I'd try a single run of speaker cable (pair)...and use jumpers to the other set of binding posts.... see the setup page above....the first diagram.

Good luck.... :thumb:
