I want to try using the am/fm section of my old QRX6500 ( its just sitting around anyway)  should I run out to the preamp from the tape rec or tape monitor?

run from the receiver's tape outs to one of your preamp's inputs...

    Just  playing around, I've still got my 10b into my X-1.
Can't decide if I want a Modwright or an Acute,
 so I just hooked up the QRX6500 so I can say I played with my stereo today.
