At any rate, it just made it frustrating for me to have to crank the Sig 30.2 all the way up to get decent volume, again, on some songs.
If Michael does not want to add a preamp and is very happy with his source and amp (which is sounds like he is and I am very happy to hear this! Wink), the only other option he has is to use more efficient speakers.
Michael... can you please verify that the line-out setting of your Olive music server is set to max? This should be at position 20. You can also use the Olive's remote and keep pressing the volume + button until the volume no longer increases. It is possible that your output level is not set to "full output." If this isn't the case, then what I stated above is correct.
