I assume most of you have heard that Oscar Peterson died this last week at his home near Toronto.

I spent many a day with Oscar in Toronto recording studio's watching and listening to his genius. He was not only a great talent but he was a warm and engaging human being -I will miss him.

The best pianist that accompany Ella and played with Louis Armstrong.  A must have is him playing on  Ella and Louis by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.  On vinyl of course.
