hi all,

some folks think this is the holy grail of tunas.  i think it's one of the best.  but, i must now part with it.  i just have too many tunas to be able to afford to keep this one...  i would rate its cosmetics a conservative 8.  if it weren't for a few minor specks on the display scale, i'd rate it a 9.  it was converted from japan-spec, refurb'd, and given the premium audio upgrade by joseph chow at component plus usa .

i am asking $2500, typical price for this in un-refurb'd un-modded condition.

thanks,

yes, it is - for those who only want an excellent tuna or three, not tuna-holics such as myself, that have twenty or so, this is the one to get...

Doug, would you possibly consider a trade for that tuner, along with some cash by Paypal?  I have a PrimaLuna ProLogue 2 integrated amp for sale, a Denon AVR-3805 audio/video receiver, and I also have a Sansui TU-9900 also modified by Joseph Chow that I am looking to sell.  Would you consider accepting a trade for one of these components, along with the rest of the difference payable to you by Paypal?  I am very interested in that tuner, but I just don't have enough money to buy it.

Please let me know either way whether or not you'd be open to a trade of some kind plus some cash payable to you by Paypal.  Thank you for considering my offer and for answering my question.

sorry, leroy, i do not have need for any more amps, & i don't own a tv - what would i USE an a/v receiver for?     and, i own a tu9900 that's been modded by joe chow and mike williams (known as punker-x on audiokarma.org).  so, i certainly don't need one of those!   :green:

and, besides, i have a sale pending at my asking price, yust waiting for payment.   :thumb:  but don't worry - what your tu9900 lacks in sonics compared to the tu-x1, (wery little imo), it more than makes up for in looks!

thanks,
