The image seems to float about 1 to 1.5 ft in front of my primary listening position (about 8 ft from the speakers).
AB,I did not answer your question. The vocal is floating between the plain of the speakers and is spatially correct. The speakers give the perspective of being the perfect distance from the stage without sounding forward or recessed.Greg
Gotchya. Thanks for the clarification. An image 1.5 foot in front of the listening position would be a bit forward to say the least. I have heard speakers do this with certain recordings but I can't imagine it would be an effect anyone could be happy with long term.
Having the sound stage 1.5 ft in front of you would definitely be the definition of listener fatigue!
Chris,I met you at the RMAF this year. I was there with my wife, and you may have remembered me since I just had elbow surgery a month beforehand. The RMAF sure is an awesome show. I live just 15 minutes away and look forward to it each year.Greg
