I have a stereo stratos that I had Klause upgrade to a stereo stratos extreme,,about 2 months ago I had a problem with the sound quality coming from the midrange of my left speaker,, too make a long story short the problem was with the stratos and not only did Klause fix it but he turned this stratos into a Special Stereo Stratos Extreme Stratos,,This amp now sounds totally detailed without having to turn up the volume...My problem is that while Klause was working on my amp I purchased a new wall unit Entertainment Center,that I paid over $3000 for and my stratos does not fit,,although I would love to keep this amp I simply do not have the room for it,,My question is, I would like to sell this on Ebay,,How much should I ask for minimum price???

To get better exposure you might consider posting here in the trading post amplifiers section and on Audiogon.  Klaus could give you a good idea on the price and there are always a few available on Audiogon to compare to.  There have been several of the dual mono in a single chassis version selling recently for $1100-1500.  Good luck!

The modifications probably won't add much to the sales price -- maybe $50 more than the typical used price for a Stereo Extreme. It would be helpful, however, to itemize the upgrades and show "before and after" pics of the mods, if possible.

I'd suggest that you sell it here and/or on audiogon, not ebay.

The Stereo Stratos Extreme units add another transformer among other things. Not a real common but very nice unit. Specs are on the Mexico site, but the USD prices listed do not look accurate.
I would confirm with Klaus if the unit has the specs that are on the Mexico site for the Stratos Stereo Extreme.

Typical price on the usual Stratos Plus that is on Agon or AC is around $725-825 depending upon condition, age, and any upgraded speaker posts, etc.
I would think that a Stratos Stereo Extreme would be worth another 100$ or so.
I would try and get $925-$950 and list it on Agon or here. You will be able to transfer the warranty so that is a good selling point.
That is, of course, if it actually is a Stereo Stratos Extreme. Maybe he did something else beyond that (or less than that), but that will not add very much.

Again-you need to confirm with Klaus what he did so as to be able to be completely clear with any buyer.

Why sell it? why not send it back and use the boards and transformer and stick it in a khartago frame? Then you can still have your sound and it will fit.
