Jolida JD1501RC vs NAD C372
« on: 12 Dec 2007, 06:34 pm »
I am interested in upgrading from my current Yamaha a/v receiver to an integrated amp.  My speakers are Mirage M3si, quite large and low sensativity, 6 ohm nominal, 4 ohm min. I have heard these on the NAD amp but I am also interested in the Jolida.  I listen to pretty much all types of music and I occasionally rock out. Any help would be great.

homerc67.....

Welcome to Audio Circle... :thumb:

I too am a Mirage owner (since the mid 80's)....the M-3's. I'd say you'd have no problem using the Jolida with your Mirage M-3si speakers. The Jolida is a hybrid integrated with a tube preamp and MOSFET power amp....100 watts of power.

Another thought.....doing a little research on the net....tube rolling does improve the sound of the Jolida....change out those stock 12AX7 tubes.... 8)

Good luck........ :thumb:

I have a Jo 1501 RC based on Mark's Affordable Audio review.  I find it to be a wonderful amp.
Should drive your spks with out a problem.  I use mine on 87 eff Rocket 450s and others of similar ilk.
Jolida made the Rockets sound like a COMPLETLY different speaker which I was unware was inside the beautifully veneered product.

Jolida sonic charateristics are probably much different than the NAD amp.

Where are you located?  Best case is to try both amps on your spks and see which pair you perfer. U could always buy both used and sell the loser-should be too much of a hit.

Rgds,
