Ripping SACD & HDCD Disks On PC
«

Will the average PC be able to rip SACD or HDCD disks? If not, what hardware/software is needed?
Also, if SACD/HDCD disks are ripped, will the extra content be passed thru to FLAC files, and utilized by a SB3?
Thanks In Advance

HDCD yes. SACD only if it is dual layer (has a CD layer). You can sometimes get HDCD to lock in on a ripped disc, but no SACD stuff will make it through. Sony has locked that format down so much no other hardware supports it.
