Lunar exclipse final thoughts...

"Final comments & suggestions:... Because I'm personally fond of silver enclosures, an optional brushed aluminum finish could be appealing. No further suggestions, this is a mature and well thought-out product."

I wish Vinnie would reconsider a silver face plate option. I too much prefer the look over the black faceplate. Also black tends to show smudges and dust much more readily. Come on Vinnie, we all know that you have a lot on your plate but we're just asking for the front to be in silver the rest can stay the same.

Hi J.,

This is something that might be available later for all my products.  Right now I am just trying my best to fulfill all these orders, looking into a new space to move my business to, training new employees, and many, many other things.  The color of the faceplate is not on my "need to do ASAP" list

Thanks for your post and I am listening,

Vinnie

Understood Vinnie,
just as long as you do consider it down the road. It would be appreciated for those with heightened aesthetic tastes :)

Congratulations, Vinnie!  It's so tempting to try out a 30.2 or even a pair of 70.2 amps.

"Give in to the 'dark' side" ......       (I mean with black face plates and all....)  8)

Vinnie, I like the black, and yes, I am tempted too.  :green:

Rich, I glad that you like the black face plate.
I'm quoting from a stellar review that just happens to mention that a silver faceplate wouldn't go a miss.
An example of a small company that achieves this quite well is Resolution Audio (makes a mean CDP as well). The box itself is black but the face plate comes in all black, all silver, or a combination there of.  Something for Vinnie to ponder in the (distant) future and something that I think would add to the aesthetics of his kit.

Has this got something to do with WAF?  Is that's the case, be a man, bring it home and lay down the law!  You can bend, flex and give in on other matters that do not pertain to YOUR shrine.  Let her buy that new dishwasher, fur coat, ugly piece of art or whatever and she'll be fine.  She needs to be assured that dust can be handled by a quick dusting and smudges will only require a little extra effort. This will only add a two minute burden to her weekly schedule - unless of course you are willing to do it.

I know Vinnie has his plate full now, but the sliver face plate would be a preference for a good many people.   With so many components going to silver these days, it only makes sense to to offer it to help those of us who need matching stuff to appease the wife.

Come on, let's be honest, a lot of us who are in this hobby want the colors of our components to match probably just as much if not more than our respective significant others do.  My girlfriend could care less, and I'm basically the same way, but hey, if my components match, great.  I've just seen too many same-colored racks of equipment for that to be a coincidence or insistence upon the part of a bunch of design-crazy wives.

WAF? WTF??
I LOVE the look of silver. Black's a little too morbid for my taste.
I happen to own the Sig 70s. I'd just prefer a silver face plate. I'm sure that there are quite a few Red Wine customers out there that would choose silver over black.
When Vinnie has the time and inclination I'm almost certain he'll give us the option.

Silver looks too cheap for me.  I want 24 carat gold! :green:

Then I suggest that you pitch the "Pimp my HiFi" show to MTV.  :D
