Tannoys are finally home!!!

Well, I picked them up from Audio Atlanta and drove back...thank goodness I had a dvd player for Jr. Took only like 7 months from purchase date till arrival...

they sound good, hard going from 12" to 15"...but I need to dial in how much stuffing I might add to the cabs.

Whitese, congrats!

This takes me back ... my father had a pair of these about 27 years ago (also had the 12 inchers) in boxes about the same size, bought them from a sound engineer. He run them from an ERA turntable with Shure cartridge (with Garret Bros parabolic diamond stylus) and Harmon Kardon high current integrated amp (85wpc from memory). I was in my early teens and can't really remember enough to even have a wild  guess at how they would compare to speakers I listen to today, but I do remember they had prodigious bass (they were probably too big for the room we had them in and they were too close to the corners) and were as good as anything we had heard.

Enjoy!

Hard core owners cut off the dust screen, but you might want to enjoy them like that for a while! It's called a sreenectomy.

Nah, leave 'em there and let people scratch their heads as to how a full range driver can have such an impressive top end!  :rotflmao:
