What's upcoming with the Squeezebox?

What's upcoming with the Squeezebox?

Come this holiday (or shortly thereafter), I want to purchase my third SB3. It wil be used as a digital source to a DCX2496.

Is there a SB4 coming soon, what's the lowdown on what is in the works?

Nobody knows.  Other than the handheld remote that they've revealed, there have been no announcements.  It's almost certain that they have one or more new products in the works, but nobody knows when they'll be released.  Could be tomorrow, or could be next year.  They haven't had a new product since they were bought out by Logitech more than a year ago, and you can be fairly certain that Logitech is getting antsy about it.

Well, as long as they don't kill the product. I could do with just another SB3 right now, with the possibility of buying one more (SB4?) down the road.

The SB3 will continue unchanged, besides the Logitech logo and box, for the foreseeable future.

There is no planned replacement for the SB3.

Now I doubt logitech (the slim devices team) have been sitting on the sidelines in the past year+ since the transporter release.  The SB3 may not be replaced anytime soon, however I think they'be been working on a mid-tier product between the squeezebox and the transporter.  Best to wait until after CES in the second week of January for any news.
