Your favorite disk

Informal Poll-

You're going to Mars (not the first trip for some of you) what cd/album would you take?  One only; you might be stuck with this recording for a long time.  Basically, I'm curious what artist/recording continues to feed you?

Mine would be Jimi Hendrix - Band of Gypsies

I think it would be Craig Chaquico and Russ Freeman "From the Redwoods to the Rockies"

Hey Bigfish,

It may be a small pond, but thanks for responding.  I'll have to check that out.

I would take DP- Made in Japan, for two reasons.
1.) It's the best darn rock concert ever!!
2.) There is the possibility of creating a new civilization on Mars. This will be their template on how rock is suppose to be played for eons of time. Should be lots of great guitar solos as result.

If I, and the 12 other people currently inhabiting my body, were setting out for a Mars vacation (personally I'd rather go to Venus and visit Nikola Tesla), I would select FIM's "Oh! That Cello". Wonderful music and an excellent recording, but I can hardly wait until Winston Ma releases it in the new K2 format.

That's my choice, perhaps the other twelve will come forward later and mention their favorites.

Best Regards,
TerryO

Kind of Blue is great, but if I had to pick only one, it would be American Beauty by the Grateful Dead.

Hey!

Gee... just one? To choose just one disc?  :?

I don't think I can. Maybe I rather die. :shake:

Take care,

All the picks so far have been great.  I think I'd pick Having a Rave Up by the Yardbirds.  They are by far my favorite rock group.  I'd take the German version of the CD because it has alot of bonus tracks!

I'm torn between "So" by Peter Gabriel and this baby here:

BIG BANG's amazing album from 2003.
Think Led Zeppelin + Clearwater Revival and you are close enough!! Yeah! This is amazing stuff!!!  :guitar: :drums:  :banana piano:

This cd has an amazing amount of really groovy tracks!!!
Girl in Oslo for one.
Check out the number of drum sets in this concert!!! Imagine the punch!!!
I think this is 3 or 4 extra drummers from the group Jaga Jazzist!
The concert dvd to this record is just FREEKISHLY funky!!!
