I'm curious as to those that may have come across this little Audio mfg....Rogue Audio up in the NE corner of Pa.

Their M-150 monblocks have me interested. I am presently listening to M/L Vantage's so I'm thinking the marriage would be superb for the ESL panels. My problem is, even living in SE Pa I have not one dealer near, so as to audition, bummer !!

Anybody out there with knowledge / experience with these  ??

It's been a while since I heard them but I liked them enough to seriously considering buying a pair.  I'd rather have the M150's or even the M120's than a lot of other amps out there... I'm not nuts about the Rogue preamps.. but the amps had a very natural sound to me... musical and enjoyable but with a little punch for a realistic overall presentation.  It's been too long to remember the details, sorry.

I have Rogue 120 Magnums, I'll guess that they sound somewhat like the 150's. The Rogues are not lush sounding tube amps. They have very good bass (good transformers)...and no rolled-off highs.

Midrange is where the tube sound stands out as "tubes"...you won't mistake it for solid state......very good sound quality.

My Rogues are driving my Apogee Duetta Signatures (4 ohms/87db) to fairly hi SPL's in my large room for around two years now.

I also use a tube preamp (Audioprism Mantissa) and a tube DAC (Monarchy M24) with the Rogues....sounds fantastic with the ribbons.

I have a Rogue Magnum  99 Pre amp and I'm only about 20 minutes away from them in Pa  very good build very good sound from the pre. I want to get a set of m-150's for a second system Call they will probably let you come right up to the factory. When i called about tubes i got the owner on the line

Gents, thanks for the replies. I called the other day and spoke with the owner, Mark O'brien as well. Seems like a good guy, think I will make a visit in the near future. I see Audio connection over in Verona, NJ is a Rogue Dealer and they do have a pair setup for demo. John Ratan is a good guy as well, bought my Plinius off him, so it looks like a road trip is in order !

I also live in SE PA and have had the M-150s for about 6 mo. driving a pair of Magnepan 1.6qr. Bass is as clean and tight as from the 300w ss amp the monos replaced. The M-150s really shine in the midrange, but not overly lush, just rich. With the maggies, I run them ultralinear and did notice slightly less drive and definition when running triode, which may be the way to go when driving more efficient speakers.

These were not easy to find; several Rouge dealers I visited in Bucks and Mont. did not have a pair. Audioconnection in NJ did, but were too far to be convenient.
