DPDT rotary switch?
« on: 16 Nov 2007, 02:30 pm »
Does anyone make a DPDT (or even DPST) rotary switch?  I know it probably isn't the most practical or common request, most people would use a multiposition switch with a stop for 2 spots or a rocker.  However I'd really just like to find a good DPDT rotary.  I could see myself buying a dozen or so if they were what I was really looking for.

FWIW, I would really like to have a couple of switches for 2 positions located in the rear of the chassis with the control up front. Examples include a switch to control which of 2 outputs you want, HT bypass, maybe even power on/off.  I can use an extention bar to the front of the chassis, but I really hate the idea of running wires back and forth for something like this.

NKK and Grayhill make one. They have the DPDT version of the NKK at Mouser for $7.70 and the Grayhill at Digikey for 19.66.
