You mean 5 years ago when $1 CAD was equal to 0.62 USD?  If that were still the case, those sold for about $900 USD.

$1500 Canadian Today would equal $1556 US.  The exchange rate today is 1 Canadian Dollar = 0.964 US Dollars.

Now you are just arguing about pennies on the dollar, when I was thinking the $600 difference.
But you are right, 56 bucks is nothing to sneeze.  But not when you are talking $1500.

According top XE.com the CAD dollar dropped 2 cents today.  It closed at 1 USD = 0.985295 CAD.  Bottom line is the Loonie is falling as fast as it rose in recent days.
