Please make it stop!!!! (Squeezecenter/SB question)
« on: 15 Nov 2007, 07:17 pm »
Ok, I'm trying to play an entire album.  The Squeeze Center/SB keeps repeating individual songs.  I cannot figure out why, and I'm about to uninstall the thing to get it to stop.  I keep having to fast forward to the next song.  What settings control this?

Thanks.

On the server side, in the right window toward the top, is a setting for repeat.  It's either off, song, playlist.  Set it to off or playlist.

Well, I ended up uninstalling then reinstalling, as I simply could not stand it.  However, you're right -- what a crappy, confusing way to do that.  You have to mouse over the button to see what it's set for and unless you hit the button and mouse over it again, you'll have no idea that there are multiple settings.  Who the freak thought this was a good idea?  Oh I guess it does change the icon for the button, but it's in such a nonconspicuous manner that I'd have never found that out.

Squeezecenter is still in beta test, isn't it?  It's possible that might change -- especially if you provide feedback.

On the remote there is a button down near the bottom center that says repeat. When you play a tune you can do a repeat on or repeat off. It'll display on the SB3. Something like that. I've had similar problem. Can't figure out the repeat would come on all by itself. Maybe something gets laid on the remote to cause the repeat to engage.
