bypass on the AVP 16

What does the bypass mode do/ when i select it i get no audio

Bypass mode is for 2 channel analog audio listening where it selects the analog audio in and bypass the AV processing logic.  I guess if you're using the digital dolby encoded audio input, switching to bypass mode will result in no sound output.

OK, thanks. That is what i was doing. So, for my analog devices like my turntable, the bypass may be benficial.
