Hi Robin,

Thanks for the kind words. I am fine, just cannot afford to keep money tied up in my system right now when it is needed for non audio things like bills and living expenses.

The finish is Wenge which is a beautiful African wood. The photo I put on the ad doesn't really do it justice. I am going to take some pics this weekend and have them available for seriously interested parties. These speakers are the best I have had and it was not even close. These were also not the most expensive speakers I have owned. Someone is going to have a serious smile from ear to ear when they hear these in their system.

I didn't realize that we're practically neighbors (I'm an hour northwest). Those are very nice, no nosense speakers. But don't limit yourself to SE Michigan. I drove my speakers home from 900 miles away (as part of a family vacation).

I had the pleasure to hear those speakers at Nick's home a couple months ago before I moved back home to Texas. I've never been to an audioshow to hear six figure megasystems or the like, but those were the most high performance speakers I've ever heard. Flawless and without weakness would be the words I'd use to describe them. There seemed to be no limit to the high end extension, and the bass was big, full, strong, and crystal clear. Not to mention the woodwork on those things was truly exceptional. They're what led me to purchase the Salk Songtowers sight unseen.

How far are you from Jim Salk in Oakland, MI? Maybe he can box and ship them to CT or NY. How much would that add to the cost of the winning bid? I don't need another pair of HT3's, but if these can be had for anywhere near the current bid, I have to consider it. These speakers for $2500 equals deal of the decade! LOL.
