I didn't win them ,

but my friend did  :icon_lol:

Mike also happens to be my neighbor who lives only 5 houses away. (We have attended the RMAF together since the first one.)

Now all I have to do to listen to X-statics is walk down the block  :thumb:

Very cool.  :thumb:

I really love this model. It will be a huge stand out and will easily beat up anything in that price range. I predict a ton of great reviews and awards for this model in the coming year.

I know these are being built South Of The Border but even so I'm blown away by how inexpensive these speakers are. They have to be the most bang for the buck speaker ever built.
So Bach, walk down the block and tell us how they sound!

Danny,

Just to confirm, Is this model of open baffle speaker uses the same driver and tweeter from AVS two way X-ls?

Is so can I get the drivers from you or from AVS?

thanks.

The drivers used in these are not for sale separately.

The tweeter is a new one that will now be used in all X series speakers. It is a killer soft dome easily as good as the best available.

Woofers are the 16 ohm version also used in the X-MTM and X-CS models.

Danny, I've got a pair of X-Static on pre-order from AV123, but I can't seem to get any info on any rough spec's.  Planning my system and amp ahead, do you have any rough estimates on:

1)  Sensitivity, impedance
2)  Crossover point/slope between open baffle and the sealed box?

90db sensitivity and 8 ohms.

Crossover points are 200Hz and 1.7kHz.

Yeees!

Outstanding.  My Bryston active x-over has a 200Hz point, and I have plenty of tube amps, SS amps around for active bi-amping.  I'll enjoy the stock form for a while, then eventually hack into the speaker wiring  :icon_twisted:
