I recently bought a small iPod speaker for my kitchen and have to say, in terms of improvement of quality of life, this purchase easily rivals my big stereo purchase from earlier this year (and was a little cheaper too).  Doing dishes or cooking an omelette is so much more manageable - hell, it's downright relaxing - with the right tunes in the background.  I'm already thinking about my bathroom next! 

Anybody else here have tunes piped into their kitchen?

I don't have music in my kitchen but I do have piped music in my bathroom! The system is actually in my bedroom (YBA Integre DT, tuner, DVD player, TV), with an extra pair of Belden cables feeding JBL car speakers mounted on the ceiling. Having a shower or sitting on the throne is so much more enjoyable with my fav radio station or CD playing!

As for the kitchen, I was hoping to purchase one of those Tivoli radio cubes.
