Sounds good James.

Does it work with a Mac when connected via USB? Do you need someone to check that out for you? :-)

Hi Thunder - do you mean Master Clock or Word Clock?

James, is there a difference?

My understanding is that if a DAC is sending its clocking signal to the transport, and the transport "slaves" to that clocking signal, it is defined as the master clock. At any rate, looking for the same kind of connection I use now with my Prism Sound DA-2 DAC. DAC send clock signal to Memory Player transport via BNC connection. Transport "slaves" to the DAC's clock and sends digital signal through digital XLR cable.

Another question, James, and probably a silly one:

Are the six different inputs selectable? Meaning, could you potentially have six different sources connect via the various means and then switch between them on the unit? Usually its a "one or the other" approach, but figured I'd ask.  8)

That sounds nice, but listen to the way this rolls off the tongue, say it slowly and enunciate..it really has a powerful effect... $1500

Not to high, not to low, just right like Goldilocks and her perfect porridge.
Just a thought while you are thinking 2K.

Hi,

Sadly the pricing has nothing to do with my wishes. We really do not sit down and decide to build a product at a specific price point.  We research it and build it the best way we know how and with the current state of the art technology and the price is the price.

Hi Thunder,

Generally speaking the MASTER Clock is a more precise version of a Word Clock.

Raimo.

At this point - Power on/off and input select (6 sources) . We are thinking when we add the drive the remote will operate both.

Hi James,

I think that making the DAC to work with Macs would be very nice since the pro market does use Macs very often (not to mention that many "other" people have and love their Macs  )
However, I'm not a marketing expert and I don't know if there's really a need for it.

PS: Can this DAC play material one can buy in the Linnrecords-Store, e.g.:

http://www.linnrecords.com/recording-on-wenlock-edge---ralph-vaughan-williams.aspx ?

Typically a mediaplayer on your computer does the work...  :?
