One of the great monitors of the 80's. Excellent execution of design. The SL6S was the forerunner of the SL600 series. The SL600 was ubr-expensive even inthe 80's. The SL6S offers the majority of the prformance of its big brother for a fraction of the price.
Cabinets are heavily braced, and have walnut finish. Front plate is a two section composite, so the tweter is isolated from the woofer. Celestion was the one of the pioneers in using laser measurements and CAD design techniques. The majority of modern monitors are not as well designed as these.
Condition is excellent. No flaws on the drivers. Cabinets are great, no dings or dents. A light scratch on one side that cant be photographed. I imagine it will fade away with a good oiling.
If you are on a budget, than this speaker is an excellent choice. It will give you real world high end performance for the price of a consumer brand speaker from Best Buy.
