Stereomojo covers LS6's and 9's at RMAF
« on: 24 Oct 2007, 09:17 pm »
We published the beginning of our ongoing coverage of RMAF. We sent 7 staffers who took hundreds ofpictures and wrote hundreds of comments on what they saw and heard. Our coverage starts with "The Speakers". Much more to come.

Thanks guys

Outstanding coverage, thank-you! That's quite a line-up of speakers scheduled for review, lucky dogs. I'm especially looking forward to your review of the Podium Model .5. Fascinating design!

I am looking forward to the review of the LS-9's. There are a couple of mistakes in the article. It says the LS-9's are "9 foot monoliths". Actually they are 6'8" not including the base. Also the prices have changed. The LS-6's are now $4500.

Another internet review group said the LS-9's were "nearly 8 feet" high. Must be some kind of optical illusion going on...
On the first day of the show-Friday- there were little signs on the speakers saying the LS-9's were $4000 and the LS-6's were $3000. On the second day the signs were gone and the price had gone to $4500 for the LS-6 's and $6000 for the LS-9's.
Still a steal, of course.
AV123 also then announced that the higher price also includes upgrades at no extra charge.

Excellent show coverage. Perhaps the best of its kind compared with other publications.
I loved the tag team approach - so you get a perspective.
it was like being in the show with an audiophile buddy.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers

Yea most of the other magazine coverage was little more than a bunch of photo's. Nice dialog guys especially when you get more than just one guys point of view.
