Hi, I am starting down the diy path and to finance a new preamp project my darling Mapletree is being placed for sale.

I just had this unit repainted by Dr Lloyd, it is RCA red. It also received a clean bill of health when it was at the mothership.
I have added a revelation power supply cord ($179.00)

I have also added a black gate power supply cap 100/100 uf/500v to the power supply ($120.00).
This unit came with the upgraded coupling caps from mapletree (150uf black gates) These caps were a 100$ upgrade.
I have also added phenolic panels to the bases along with herbies footers for feet.
I will include the original tubes along with a selection of my favorites, a 6x5g coke bottle rectifier and two sets 12sx7gt's GE & RCA.

These preamps are $900.00 new now and have a waiting list to have them built.
I have been very pleased with his preamp.

Bill, I have a U4se as well, did the black gates help?

Moving up to the gunn 1.6's when I am able.
The mapletree has been a great preamp for me.
I am going to miss it.
