Hey Danny & Audiophiles.
I have been looking for a new ht package. Right now I have m&k s150's. I know m&k is coming back but I wouldn't mind giving something else a chance.
I have looked and even owned some of the rocket line at av123.
My only concerns with them are:
1. No Matching FL, FR & Center.
2. They have no matching Surrounds. You could say the 250 could be used as a surround, but it was never really made for that. It is rear ported, & it is designed to go too low imho. The rss 300 does not have matching tweeters either. I heard that was due to cost on the vifa, so you have guys spending thousands, but they won’t pay more for a matching surround?
3. No in ceiling options for surround backs or column surrounds.
The 3rd point I could let slide if the first two were taken care of. Column surrounds like the m&ks seem like a quick fix.
I was really getting "sold" on the RBH T-2’ speakers basically for two reasons. The reviews are all great & they have a complete line of speakers with matching drivers. I could use there bookshelf speakers for surrounds or dipoles & use in ceiling for my 6 & 7th.
I then found this quote from you responding to another guys question on the rbh speakers I was planning on getting:

My next thought is something like a modular mini line array. I was thinking bottom module for each side with 2 12" subs, and top module with a mini array. And then, just this morning I came across this:

That speaker is actually a mess. The multiple tweeters spaced that far apart will just cancel each other out all over the place. The response will look like a roller coaster." Danny
Based on the premise that we do want matching drivers in all speakers; Do you have any recommendations?
I could step down in the rbh line & use the speakers that do not have the problem above or I can wait for new products from you and av123. For the record I love Mark, his products and his business model.
Does av123 plans on making A new rocket line with matching surrounds in bookshelf & dipole configuration or do they plan on making new column surround that can be used as surround backs-like the old m&k column surrounds?
Will the LS line have a matching center, surround, and surround backs?
I always wondered why they never turned their big foot center into a fl & fr with a powered woofer base, Like the RBH T-2’s.
I am a beta tester (purchaser) for the new & upcoming RSL II’s, but from what I understand those will be two channel only.
Thanks for your time.
Matthew
