Wow, even with DSL it took over 10 minutes to load!
A friend had the Advent 300. Great pre-amp, good real-world tuner, amp suffered from cost cutting. But it was designed with pre-out/power-in option to allow an upgrade path. In fact that friend started out with a system that consisted of the Advent and quality 2-way standmounts (at my recommendation). At last contact he had over $15k into his system.
It was a wonderful product, a breath of fresh air in a world of bloated eye candy. Money went where it was most important, it did not follow the space race into huge cabinets like the receivers of its day, it even fit on a bookshelf. The only downside I could see in it was that it went against the marketing hype of big, glossy boxes with lots of watts, otherwise it could have sold in huge numbers. I think of it as the spiritual father of another classic piece, the NAD 3020.
