SALE PENDINGThese are very sweet little amps with far more "oomph" than you would suspect. Drove my De Capos (see other ad) effortlessly. I bought a used pair of Thiel CS 3.6 speakers, so I need something more muscular.
Includes stock Chinese EL-34s, but will take virtually any tube with the same pin size, and no biasing is necessary. They look great except for some rust on the transformer covers (see below for more info) and one tiny scratch that I covered up (you won't see it unless you look very hard). There are also a couple of very faint scuffs on the speaker terminal strips (again, you'd have to look for them).
NOTE: The amps were purchased in February of '06 from a former dealer who had several pairs sitting in unopened boxes for a while. Mike Sanders (of Quicksilver) offered a one-year warranty on the amps, provided they were slowly powered up on a Vari-AC before operating them. This was done (and the amps were gone over) by a seasoned professional amp technician/designer. The amps have operated flawlessly since.
You can see in the photos that there is some rust on the transformer covers. I'm not sure if this is normal with transformers or if they got oxidized while sitting unused in the boxes. In any case, it does not in any way affect the sound or operation of the amps, and the amps look great otherwise (the photo of the rust actually looks MUCH worse than in person.
