Yamamoto Sound Craft A-08s for Sale

Like the Definitions, this amp needs no introduction.  It's simply a fantastic 45 SET amp.  If you can do with 2 watts, it probably doesn't get much better.

I'll call it an 8/10 because it has a couple of scratches on the back of the rear ebony legs.

Come with unused, extra rectifier and driver tubes - everything but the 45s.  Also comes with manual, such as it is and original packaging.

I'd like to clear $2,000 for everything, money order accepted if buyer wants to skip PP fees.

Pix to be up this weekend, as well as an Agon ad.  Audiogon price will probably be a little higher.

Hi Miklorsmith ~

Ahhhhh... how I wish I had to money to purchase the Yamamoto and compare it directly to
the Korneff 45... such a beautiful looking piece of art!!!!!

And the price is right!!!!

I admit that seeing this post rendered a very deep emotional response in me...
I really like the looks of this elegant beastie.

I wonder where your explorations will take you next... whatever it is... it will have to follow
a very exalted high art design.

Warm Regards ~ Richard

Hi Rasta ~

You have a most educated eye, Rasta!!!!

320,000.00 JPY = 2,792.56 USD... hummmmmmmm!!!!!!

4 watts instead of 2 can make quite a difference depending on ones speakers.

Some love the 2A3 over the 45 tube... but others think the 45 is the cat's meow!

Nice guess work... only Miklorsmith knows the truth.

Warm Regards ~ Richard

Hi Richard,

You know you're a most gracious soul!

While Mr. Smith is indeed the only earthly witness to his own mind, sometimes it's fun to tease the cat.  :thumb:

Yes... yes... m-m-m-e-e-e-o-o-o-w-w-w!!!!!!

And your post pointed the way to the Yamamoto 2A3 integrated for which I am
deeply grateful... nice to know what is going on in the effervescent world of audio.

Thanks for the banter, fellows, good stuff indeed.  That Yammie looks like The Hammer of Thor, swinging four watts of iron destruction!   :D

Actually, the sale is no more.  I can't part with it.  There's a reason nobody sells these things.  They are absolute works of art and difficult to replace.  Many of the cognescenti have them buried in the catacombs.  I don't claim to have their wisdom, but I 'ave pilfered a bit of their gear - and I'm not releasin' 'em mate.

The hole in me pocket, it does burn but I know the prize.  It may strike me down or it may just be a few tastee ails on this frydey eve.  Either way I'm a winner, so let's pass the bottle mates.

Hi Miklorsmith ~

A wise decision!!!!

It makes me feel a lot better about not having the money to be able to purchase it!

A work of art... who knows how much longer Mr.Yamamoto will be able to create his
little masterpieces! In a world of mass produced this and that it stands out as a
unique and beautifully realized jewel.

Warm Regards ~ Richard
