Hey Guys,
I'm new to posting on this board, but could use your help. I've recently purchased some Merlin TSM-MMe's and really dig them. Because I like them so much I'm in the process of selling off my current rig with the intention of purchasing the ARS-Sonum amp to match the TSM's. I've already been contacted by another AC member suggesting I look into other options besides the ARS-Sonum. My question is what else is out there in the sub 4K that is better? The ARS-Sonum seems to be getting rave reviews everywhere. All the other suggested amp/pre combos are going to come out to much more then the ARS. I've considered Quicksilver(which could be in my price range), used Dodd's, and a few others. Nothing else seems to be in range. What do you guys suggest? Only tube options please. Solid state just doesn't do it for me anymore. Thanks.
