For Sale an Onkyo DV-CP704 6 disc DVD changer modified by Stan Warren. The power supply and the output stage were extensively modified by Stan 3 months ago. The unit also has an IEC female connector installed so that any high end power cord can be used. It also has Vampire oxygen free copper output jacks. As part of the mod the player was cryo frozen. The reason that I selected this player to be modded by Stan was because it uses a Wolfson DAC. Those DAC's are used in may current high end audio players. I was hoping to use this player in my second system because of the upsampling to 1080i feature and the 6 disc capabilities. The player is approx 17 wide by 17 deep. It sticks out almost 3 inches from the front of the entertainment center. This does not go over well with the wife. That is why I am selling it. This is a great sounding DVD/ High End sounding Cd Player. Will put a good number of the Stereophile rated Class B players to shame. The unit retails for $229.99 and the mods cost $375.00. As you might know it is difficult to have a product modified by Stan lately. For those looking for a budget DVD player that upsamples to 1080i with high end sound, this is it. For the most part is is in like new appearance. Will rate an 8 out of 10. Still a current model. I would post pictures but I could not figure out how to link them to this site from my computer.
