For sale: 4 KT88 output tubes.  Based on what I have learned, I am pretty sure these are Chinese (possible Shuguang) KT88 tubes.  They do say 'Electron Tube' on the bottle, if that helps to identify them.  Can't be a lot of hours on these -- I'm going to say 200 or so.

I have listened to them and they sound good.  No, they're not in the league of KRs and such, but they acquit themselves nicely in comparison to the 'big boys'.  They would make a fine front-line set of output tubes or a nice back-up set for those that can appreciate (and afford) the truly finer things in life.

Price: $50 + shipping/OBO

Thanks for looking,

Dave Burna (-dB)

Hi Dave, if it helps, usually Chinese tubes have "Electron Tube" in red ink" Do you knoiw what they came out of? I think you would be better able to sell them if people knew what they were. Pictures perhaps?
 Just trying to help.

Thanks, Bill.  I appreciate the feedback.  I was intending to put some pictures together, but I'm trying also to put some other gear online, so I just threw these online in a hurry, hence no photos right away.

Finally got a couple photos together.  As you can see, I'm not a professional photographer.   :D  In any event, the Electron Tube writing is in gold, not red, as you can see from the photos.....at least hopefully, if I attached them properly.

If anyone is interested, please send me e-mail (dburna@sbcglobal.net).

Thanks for looking,  -dB

Okay, I should have written in Red or Gold. Those are Chinese KT88's probably manufactured by Shuguang. Nice sounding tube as well.

These were originally deployed in an Air Tight ATM-2 to very good effect.  I had some schmancy (sp?) KT88's in the amp instead of these tubes when I sold it, but I couldn't discern a huge difference between the two sets.....at least not enough to justify the price of the "uber tubes".

Thanks, Bill, for helping to get me motivated to take some photos.  I was dragging my heels on that.

Hey Nels, these are very nice tubes in the BE3205 Signature. I think you'll really like 'em.

Derockster,

I just sent you an e-mail.  Unfortunately, I am not willing to ship items out of the continental US.  Too bad bad experiences with this.  Sorry.
