Best Room Rates found at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest?

My wife and I are attending the RMAF and I personally would like to spend more on audio and her than more on room rates. Anyone get a "smokin"' deal on a room in a quality hotel. We scored a suite two years ago cheap. I will more than likely do a last minute bid, but if members have found a great place, please share with the rest. More money for the show is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The best price I saw was the Hotel Denver Tech for $62/night.

I'm local, but decided to stay down there Sat night to hang out with folks and ended up doing the Hyatt by cashing in some Discover card cashback for a Travelocity gift card (only valid on a subset of hotels, which does not include the Hotel Denver Tech).

I hear the Hyatt is the happening place this year, I stayed at the marriott denver tech where the show is, but people are saying the hyatt has much nicer rooms and it is a all around better hotel to be at. Most people I know are staying at the Hyatt, since the marriott was booked full way in advance this year, probably because of this show and the beer show as well as other things going on at the same time. (Denver is playing in the MLB playoffs this year and just swept the phillies) so denver is the happening place here next weekend!

Thank you for the replies. It appears the Hyatt Regency Tech Center is also sold out for two nights. Too many hotels to choose from. I need a WF room, four star hotel for a two star price. Man, I am dreaming here.

Hotel DTC, (http://www.hoteldtc.com/). Perhaps not 4 star but at $62/night it should be pretty nice. It's cheap because they are remodeling to convert to "an upscale brand". It's about 1 mile from the Marriott. Realistically, how much time will you be spending there.. I foresee most of my time spent at the show. :)

My wife said no way. I read the reviews and some service issues will not allow this hotel. They may have solved their problems and may be first rate, but I will find another. I turned the room hunt over to my wife. I can't loose this way. Or can I?

Hopefully she'll find something good that won't break the bank. When we travel my wife always does the booking and research as she is much fussier than I am and I know we'll end up with something good. :)

I'm local but live about 25 miles from the show so I'm going to roll the dice and stay there. If it sucks beyond belief I can always throw a fit and ask for a refund and drive home but I'm hoping it won't be too bad.

From all the new attendees (I have people calling or emailing about it about 5-10 times a day in the past week) and new manufacturers debuting, I doubt that boring will be the case. I never got a chance to go through the whole thing last year, alot of people and little time and room (especially on saturday).  This show is appearing to be bigger and badder than ever. They are calling this "americas audio show".  It deserves it, there is so much going on and stuff to see and do. Also, this same weekend is a beer festival and also the local baseball team is in the playoffs so this denver area is going to be jumping more so this year than the last. I remember the traffic last year trying to get up the elevators on saturday, it was a madhouse, so many people, so I took the stairs instead, was alot quicker. I expect this year to be more packed than ever.

I meant the room Bill, not the show. I'm sure it won't be boring.  :thumb:
