I stopped over to Kevin's (KAB) after work one night last week to pick up some sleeves and cleaning supplies.  He happened to have some hard wood bases on hand for the 1200 series.  I borrowed one made of Corian.  I wanted to post some fotos of it.  If you have questions contact Kevin.  The hardwood ones were really nice too.

That's pretty slick looking. I'll probably get Walnut one down the road because I'm more into that look. Plus my wife wouldn't be too happy if I tried to put something made out of coutertop in her living room.

Looks good! Kevin once mentioned to me that he'd like to make his own platter mat, and if that happens, I dunno what else there is to improve...but he'll probably think of something.  Can't wait until I'm able to get mine, at long last...probably go with the wood look, m'self.
