Mike Silverton discloses in his recent comments in Stereo Times that he now works for Nuforce  - producing newsletter, website etc.
He also goes on today praising the S-9 speaker.
Isn't he one of the reviewers that put Nuforce amps on the map with a rave?

Thanks for the full disclosure, Mike but your reviews and comments both past and present now look the same way to me as when Barry Bonds hits the home run record and says - I never took steroids.

As always, let your ears decide and I'm sure that Nuforce makes excellent products but this to me, casts a shadow over his reviews.

PS, the Nuforce website does look much better now.

That's a pretty narrow-minded view, it's easy to be a cynic.  More likely the review started Mike down a path which led to his employment ... afterall, wanting to be part of what you think is the winning team is only natural.

I agree with you as that is most likely how it started.

How do you think his next amp review will look - could be some bias or at least it raises that question.

I don't think someone doing industry work or being on the payroll should be considered an objective reviewer.
Just be one or the other.

This is an interesting situation. Usually, you cannot play both sides of the fence in any game. In this case, it could work, although one should no longer expect to see him cover NuForce components anytime in the future.

I don't see anything wrong with the situation provided he stays clear of reviewing any more NuForce product.

He should also not review any products that directly compete with NuForce products.
