Melos SHA-1 Headphone/Line Amp SOLD

Selling my Melos SHA-1 headphone/line amp. I am the second owner and this unit works great. I replaced the input selector switch as the original failed. This is the three input model. It has Amperex Holland "Orange Globe/Halo Getter" 6DJ8 tubes. These were purchased from Vintage Tube Services and have their red/green color coding which they define as "ULTRA LOW Mic. LINE level tube". Ultra low microphonics for use in line level applications.

While the SHA-1 is a nice line stage where it really shines is as a headphone amp. I brought this to a Head-Fi gathering a couple years ago and it was just magical with the Grado RS-1's.

Asking $450 +shipping. Will accept Paypal, no fees. From what I can tell the Amperex's are currently going for about $60 each, so I hoping that will sweeten the deal.

I rate this about a 7 for condition. It has a few small scratches but is in overall good condition. Note, cover screws were removed for photos, I have them.

If local sale I'll take $400 and can bring it to RMAF if you happen to be attending. I'm in Denver, CO area.

Too bad I already have more headphone amps than I need. This is a great deal - The SHA-1 usually goes for $500+ on HeadFi and that's usually with stock tubes.

You should list this over there - I bet it would go quickly.

Thanks Brad, I thought about it but I rarely post there and somehow it just didn't seem right to appear only when selling something. Of course if it's something the headphone junkies want... If I wasn't able to have speakers in my office at work I'd be keeping this but I still have a couple of other headphone amps so something has to go.
