I'll be building a set of LS-9's and need to to make them look really nice or Mama won't be happy (they are really big- I don't need big and ugly).  Where do you get 80" sheets with nice figure at a reasonable cost?

check out rosebud veneers on ebay. I think he's the one who sells veneer to Jim Salk....so he's gotta be darn good.

The rosewood does look nice, but only some was veneer, the rest plywood- which could work fine glued to the sides.  The main problem is the quantity of veneer needed.  These things need about 8'x11' .  I'll keep watching ebay, but I suspect that I'll have to buy something this large from a dealer. Hope I'm wrong as ebay should be cheaper.

Then you might want to check out his site, http://rosebudveneer.com/, and buy directly from him instead of going through ebay. I've bought a few times from him ... good quality veneer at very very reasonable prices. Only issue is that he deals with raw veneer.

This Ebay selling I recommend highly.
We have over 800 ft of veneer we have puchased from this seller.Great product as well as shipping.

Issues real wood veneer is not what I recommend for students.
Use a paper backed veneer and you will have great progress with the kids. The RAW veneer is breakable ,can have glue blead threw and chips very easy.

So for first timers I always recommend the paper backed veneers.

I always had great luck buying mine from Oak Wood Veneer. They even have the 3M adhesive backed but it's only 24" wide?

I have bought wood in the stores from both of these stores and like both of them. They both carry a lot of the exotic veneers.

Myself, Brian Bunge and others have been using Tape-Ease for a few years.  Take a look and compare prices.  Brian and I can vouch for their service and quality:

Even if you are experienced, I highly recommend using paper-backed if you are going to wrap the veneer around rounded over cabinet corners. :)
