Howdy folks!

I recently spent 3 weeks in Perth and cycled around the general area. It's not exactly Victoria :duh: , but hey! It's the same continent!
Here are some pics.
Beautiful country, Hugh!

A Gaohd!  I love those pictures and I would LOVE to do what you did with the bike.  Maybe I will have to wait until I children are older so I could do such adventure!  Nice pics.  What camera did you use?

Hi,

You do a great job with the camera, excellent composition!  WA has very varied landscapes doesn't it.  Hope you had a great time.  I spend a bit of time on the mountain bike here in Vic.  Hugh, we need an "aksapod" for use while running and riding!!

Hi guys!

Yep, maybe Melbourne next time  :green:
I do plan to return to WA someday and complete the entire 900-km Munda Biddi trail though.

About the camera, it's a humble Canon A510.
I like the A-series because it runs on AA batteries.
Any petrol station or news agent would carry it.

And yes, I really miss the AKSA's magic when I am forced to use the various "Pods."
There's really no comparison.
It's like comparing a good slab of aged, fillet mignon with TV-dinner Salisbury steak

Hi Lost81,

Thanks for the lovely pictures, nice photography, well composed, great camera.

My Mom came from Perth, and I spent many weeks staying there over my childhood.  Last there in 1993, I would imagine it's changed a lot, especially since the resources boom.  It's a very dry, vast state with quite astonishing flora and fauna - South Africans will tell you it's a lot like their country.

Melbourne is conservative, very English in character, wealthy and very cosmopolitan.  A few weeks ago Sri and I stopped in Lygon St Carlton for a coffee, and there, parked one behind the other, were two brand new Lamborghini Murceilagos, only in Sydney, population 5 million, would you also see this.......  I looked inside, I could not drive one, too small!!

Welcome back, Benny!

Hugh

Come on Hugh, I'm sure your could come with a battery powered tube buffered AKSA iPod module with a touch of crossfeed to keep us all happy!

Imagine the size of the market  :o

I've been off the forum for a couple of months, but had I known you were in Perth, you would have been welcome to listen to my system.

The photos are beautiful, they show off my home perfectly.
