Sweet!  I picked up all the stuff to do it but my head imploded trying to figure out all the computer programming necessary to make it work.

You may not know this, but on the Slimdevices forums, in particular the Audiophile and 3rd Part Plugins forums, there is a lot of material regarding the Inguz plugin.

Oh yeah...I read every damn page of it last night.  Very extensive conversation between you and Hugh.  I learned quite a bit, eventhough I only understood about 3% of it.  Very techy and very over my head, but I really enjoyed how you, Hugh and few others worked through the issues.

Edit:  Just realized I only read the thread in the Audiophile forum.  Looks like I have more reading in the 3rd Party Plugin forum.

Brett,

I'm located in austin and recently started using the inguz plugin. If you need help setting things up, i may be able to assist you. I'm a linux user, but i doubt the windows software is much different.

Brett, if you haven't already done so, get Audacity, and Room EQ Wizard. Audacity has its own site and you get REQW by joining Hometheatershack (free) and then downloading it. It's a little harder to use with the Radio Shack SPL meter, but it can be done if you don't have a measurement mic. There are more sophisticated (read - you gotta pay for 'em  :D) tools like TrueRTA and Audiolense that all make for a powerful toolkit in supporting digital RC.

My feeling at this point is that Inguz works pretty darn well, but I'm getting the feeling any kind of RC probably works better for "typical" (front firing) speaker designs than it does for my kind of rig. However, I think once I get past some of the current complexities I think I'm going to keep it in the loop.

gitarretyp,

Thanks for the offer.  Are you going to John's place on the 13th(?) for the Lone Star Bottleheads meeting?  If so, maybe we could chat a bit on this issue.  I'd enjoy comparing notes.
