If the rest of their products perform as well as their RSP-1 preamp they got a real winner on their hands!!!

i had the dmc-1 and i loved it.  what it lacked in video switching capabilities it made up for in its surround preamplifier section i feel.

AV123 used to sell Emotiva gear; I've always been curious to know if they are any good as far as HT duties go, as I'm currently running my entire 5.1 setup off a $300 receiver.

Run away, run away fast.

When you buy a piece of gear it should work properly.  Maybe they don't beta test on their users anymore, but there are so many other companies out there why risk it.

Heck it even looked like MLS was trying to distance AV123 from them last I checked.

Piffle! I've had an Emotiva BPA-1 enduring extreme heat in my attic for more than two years and it's been flawless. I recently bought an RPA-1 and it's built like a tank. I think that the AV123/Emotiva breakup was due to issues with software in their home theater processors, but their two channel stuff is solid. In my opinion, at least.
