24bit 96 hz flac files in Itunes to play on SB3

Can I play these SACD quality files on my SB3? Can I bring these into Itunes? Or can I just add them to the SlimServer somehow?
Thanks

In my experience the SB3 tops out at 24bit/48kHz. I've heard that so far only the Transporter can handle 24/96.

I have no idea if iTunes can handle 24/96 files. I don't use iTunes to manager my music. I have all my music arranged into directories of my own choosing and point the SlimServer to the top directory. From the SB3, I can then just "browse music folder" and find any file I want, including 24/96 WAV files.

The SB3 tops out at 24/48. If you use 24/96 the sb3 will resample to 24/48.

As for SACD quality playback, no. SACD is a DSD format(1bit @2.8Mhz or 5.6Mhz) not PCM. The Slim Server/SB3 can not handle these file types at all.

Net is: itunes doesn't handle FLAC, and the Transporter, not the SB3, handles 24/96.
