Check vmpseurope.com for pix, or ask Dubravko to post some again of the RM 2 full wrap.  I just received a shipment of RM 2 in piano black film that are really nice (this is a Japanese finish with an exceptionally high gloss and really thin film veneer).

Thanks for the links, guys.  You take some very fine
photos of those speakers, dubravko.  Excellent detail. :)

Anyone with walnut RM2's?

Thanks for the great picture.

I take it that is a walnut wood cabinet.  Very nice looking!  :)

Hmm, don't suppose you might have shots of RM2's in rosewood and
cherry wood?  :)

This is not walnut, but white oak retouched to resemble walnut, wood grain is still very oakish.

I guess that from there, it is much easier to imagine slightly more red but similarly dark rosewood. Same goes for other hues. I can do it too, although colour appearance on the web is slightly different than in imaging software, plus oak grain looks awkward in some colours.

If I remember correctly, ekovalsky owns walnut RM40 and pictures were available on the web.

The grain of the real walnut is much nicer than oak.

Indeed!  I like the grain of walnut, cherry and mahogany myself.

I updated my gallery with some better photos of the walnut veneer.  These were taken under indoor lighting with long exposure times so I didn't have to use a flash (which causes glare).

Sal did the work on my RM-40's and it is very nice indeed -- much better than I expected given the reputation of VMPS cabinet quality.

So now there are three kinds of shiny black finish? Piano black, piano black film, and black lacquer? Anyone willing to sort these out for me?

When I saw the picture of your house i thought "Hey, this looks like AZ!!"
Sure enough, you're from scottsdale :)
I live in Tucson. :)
PS I thought all you Scottsdalers were Republicans. Judging from your avatar, you're not! :)

Oh no, I'm a republic all right.  I just have respect for people (like George and Ahnuld) who have inhaled and aren't afraid to admit it.
