Leslie Feist - 1234 Ipod Nano Music Video ...Anyone else like this?

Occasionally you know how a tune just kinda hits you "right".

For some reason, I kept hearing this Leslie Feist song on the Ipod Nano commercials and it just "grew" on me.

Anyone else like this, or are you familiar with Feist?

Just found the "whole" video and while it lacks the slickness of some it certainly provides a "feel good" AV expereince.

Could she be the next Nora?

I dunno about a new Nora, but I have her first album with a major label "Let It Die" and it is quite good. Highly recommended. It's one of those albums that's great to listen at night with the lights off when there's minimal distractions.

It's likely I'll pick up her latest one sooner or later as well. I've heard she's quite good live as well...

I saw a lot of recommendations for Feist based on other music I like, so I picked up her new album, but I have to say that it doesn't really connect with me. 1234 is one of the tracks I kind of like, but so far I'm not very excited. Maybe after a few more spins.

I like "Let It Die" a lot better, overall, than the latest "The Reminder" (which includes 1234, the song from the Nano video TV commercial). I don't know if I'd put her in the stunning newcomer category of Nora Jones-Nora is a bit more mainstream. Both are true distinctive talents, though, and well worth a listen.

Thanks to the iPod commercial, I now skip over track 9 whenever I play "The Reminder", there really is a thing such as too much of a good thing. I really don't need to hear 1234 50 times a day.

I have both of her albums, "The Reminder" seems to connect a bit better with me at the moment but I tend to go back & forth on them.

I had "Mushaboom" on a compilation CD I had from a while ago, and I kept hearing that song on a commercial for bottled water while I was in Croatia this summer. When I got back home, I looked up the song and started tracking down more of her music. I bought "Let it Die", "Open Season", and "The Reminder". "Open Season" is a remix album, which is kind of amusing when I'm in the right frame of mind. On "The Reminder", I really enjoy "My Moon, My Man" and "1234".

I bought "the Reminder" the other day. Had a chance to listen to it all the way though last night and I really enjoyed it. Good music at the end of the day when the kids are in bed. Sounds like it was pretty well recorded too. I heard they recorded in a 200 yr old French manor house, or something like that. Interesting. So, is 'Let It Die" recorded well and worth picking up?

I haven't picked up her latest album, but have her first one, plus, the various vocal contributions she has made to the albums of the Canadian band "collective" known as Broken Social Scene, plus, that one song she sang on for the band Kings of Convenience.

She's a very cool, likable woman, but I sometimes think I like the idea of her more than her actual music. Or at least, I think I prefer her in smaller doses at a time, which is where she can really stand out with her unique or somewhat quirky style.
