Binding posts...
« on: 20 Sep 2007, 02:18 pm »
Are there any plans to offer Cardas style binding posts?

I know some of the older amps had them.  The current ones are my only real complaint with your amps as they are very difficult to apply any decent torque to.  I'd be willing to pay for an upgrade if it were available.

Thx
Jim

We are working on an alternative back panel using the binding posts from MCH series but this is a none standard option. The replacement price will be $100/back panel + labor for existing customer (we can't reuse the parts since they are all glued to the existing panel)

If you find any binding post that can fit (that's nearly impossible as there is no standard size) the holes on Ref 9 or Ref 9SE, we can replace it for you.  We can enlarge the holes slightly to make it fit.

Jason -

I'd be happy to pay $100 per amp to get some better posts.  Is there any way to move the locations of the posts?

I was thinking that if they had more space between them at least you could put posts like Levinson uses - which has nice big grips to use to torque down the cables.

I'm open to any alternatives you guys can come up with.

Thanks!
Jim
