I posted this on the other Teres' forum but got no responses.  I was wondering if any Teres owner use something like the Expressimo Lift, or thought of using one, to save their carts?  I was thinking of splurging for a lift and wondered if anyone had experience with one of these and if they work well.   If you aren't familiar with what I am referring to, you can find it on expressimo's website.

If you use the Teres motor, which most do, it will automatically turn off the turntable after 45 minutes from the time it was turned on.

So figure that the album side is ~ 20 minutes.  The cartridge would only ride the groove another 25 minutes before the motor shuts off.

While most of the time I am there in seconds or certainly under a minute, I don't think that the inside groove would hurt it too bad in that much time (25 mins), especially under the rare (it hasn't happened to me yet) event you fall sound enough asleep to not hear the end of the LP.

So for most Teres owners it is not needed IMO.
